About

Established January 24, 2003, The House of Opportunity (THO) is an African-American, female owned organization with 501(c)3 status. This entity is focused on providing assistance to those who are in need of support. Our mission is to set an example of lifelong learning, provide access to learning tools and experiences, and to foster independence. We are providing education and nutritional assistance to at-risk youth in our after-school program. We will achieve this via supplementary education and after-school meals. We believe that every child is a natural born learner, explorer, wonderer, and scientist. THO's aim is to protect and nurture the natural human desire to learn, progress, and grow. We will guide the learners to make the choice to see themselves and the world around them in a different way. We will achieve the goals of education, with interactive, entertaining, and educational games.
